A shared commitment to grain science, engineering practice and food security.
October 16, 2026 marks the 70th anniversary of Henan University of Technology and coincides with World Food Day. With a long-standing collaborative relationship with the university, Co-Grain draws on grain engineering expertise to develop integrated drying, cleaning, conveying and storage solutions.
By combining grain engineering knowledge with practical project experience, Co-Grain aims to help customers reduce avoidable post-harvest losses, preserve grain quality and establish efficient, reliable grain handling systems.
Seventy Years of Excellence in Grain Science
Henan University of Technology has developed distinctive strengths in grain processing, storage, food science and engineering. Through generations of education, research and technical development, the university has contributed knowledge and professional talent to the grain industry.

Why Drying Technology Matters After Harvest
Freshly harvested paddy rice, maize, wheat, barley, sorghum and other cereals often require cleaning, drying, conveying and storage preparation before they can be safely stored or processed.
Moisture content strongly influences storage conditions and processing quality. Modern mechanical drying provides more controlled temperature, airflow and processing time, while the final moisture target must be reached without unnecessary grain damage.

From Harvesting to Safe Storage
A complete grain drying center coordinates receiving, cleaning, buffering, drying, conveying and storage. System throughput and grain quality depend on how these stages work together.
Engineers must consider initial moisture, final moisture, grain variety, capacity, airflow, transfer rates, buffer arrangements, ventilation and storage conditions when developing a project.
Scientific Temperature and Moisture Control
Different grains require different drying conditions. Paddy rice requires careful control of drying rate, grain temperature and internal moisture movement to reduce fissuring and protect milling quality. Maize, wheat, barley and sorghum also require process settings matched to their physical properties and intended use.
The engineering balance includes drying capacity, uniformity, energy use, operating cost, reliability, production continuity and storage requirements.
Connecting University Knowledge with Practical Engineering
Grain drying and storage engineering combines grain material science, mechanical engineering, heat and mass transfer, airflow management, process planning and automation.
Co-Grain integrates this professional knowledge with customer requirements, local climate conditions, crop varieties and processing capacities. The result is a coordinated solution covering receiving, cleaning, wet grain buffering, conveying, drying, storage and automation.
Customized Solutions for Global Markets
Climate, crop varieties, harvest seasons, energy availability and local infrastructure shape each project. Southeast Asian paddy operations may prioritize rainy-season drying and milling quality. African grain-producing regions may focus on maize and paddy infrastructure. Central Asian projects may require centralized collection, mechanical drying and efficient conveying.
Co-Grain provides process engineering, equipment manufacturing, installation, commissioning and technical services for modern grain handling facilities.
